Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for the Junior Accounts Executive position at Softlogic Retail, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria and possess the required professional attributes:
* Professional Qualifications: Part qualification in a recognized professional accounting body such as ICASL (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka), CMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants), or AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians).
* Work Experience: A minimum of 1 year of practical work experience in a finance or accounting role, preferably within a commercial sector organization.
* Technical Skills: Sound foundational knowledge of general accounting principles, double-entry bookkeeping, and journal entries. Proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Core Responsibilities & Technical Competencies:
* Accurate and timely finalization of monthly bank reconciliations within assigned deadlines.
* Performing general ledger reconciliations and systematically maintaining supporting documentation and financial records.
* Assisting in the preparation of financial reports and management statements as requested by senior financial leadership.
* Identifying, investigating, and rectifying incorrect accounting entries through prompt reversal of erroneous postings.
* Coordinating effectively with internal and external stakeholders to investigate and resolve financial discrepancies and disputes.
* Assisting the finance team with comprehensive month-end closing activities and related routines.
* Ensuring strict adherence and compliance with internal corporate policies and standardized accounting procedures.

* Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Sinhala.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal abilities.
* Self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently, manage workload priorities, and meet tight deadlines.
