Requirements and Qualifications
To be considered for this position, applicants must fulfill the following educational criteria, technical skills, and practical work experience:
1. Educational Qualifications:
- Completion of NVQ Level 4 – Draughtsperson / Engineering Draughtsmanship, or an equivalent technical qualification recognized by the Tertiary and Vocational Education Commission (TVEC).
- Passed the G.C.E. (O/L) examination with minimum Credit passes in both Mathematics and English subjects.
2. Professional Experience & Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience working as a Draughtsman specifically within building construction projects.
- High proficiency in operating AutoCAD software alongside other relevant draughting applications.
- Proven track record and practical experience in preparing detailed Architectural, MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing), and HVAC construction drawings.
3. General Competencies:
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex architectural and engineering drawings with precision.
- Exceptional attention to detail and high accuracy in technical drawing creation and verification.
- Skill in maintaining updated, accurate records of all project drawings, revisions, and associated project documentation.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and team coordination skills.
