Requirements and qualifications
To be considered for the Accounts Trainee position, candidates should meet the following criteria:
- Currently pursuing a recognized professional accounting qualification (such as CIMA, ACCA, CA Sri Lanka, or AAT) or a relevant Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Finance.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; previous familiarity with accounting software is considered a distinct advantage.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple client engagements simultaneously while consistently meeting strict deadlines.
- Excellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detail.

As an Accounts Trainee, your daily responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with day-to-day bookkeeping and financial record maintenance for local clients.
- Supporting clients with indirect tax matters, including VAT computations and official filings.
- Assisting clients with standard day-to-day operational and accounting matters.
- Preparing bank reconciliation statements and managing other necessary financial reconciliations.
- Supporting the accounting team with other ad-hoc compliance and financial tasks as required.
