About Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT)
Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT), led by a Director General and governed by a board representing the government. Plantation companies and trade unions, operates from battaramulla with seven regional office. PHDT partners with ministries, trade unions, NGOs, health, child care, training, sports, housing and infrastructure.
PHDT is ISO 9001:2008 Certified and has received awards, including a gold award at the 2011 national business excellence awards and recognition from SAFA and ICASL.

Role overview
The selected candidate will
be responsible for the overall management and implementation of housing, infrastructure,
and special project. This is includes end to end responsibilities for planning
, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of projects, as well as effective
control of resources, staff management and budget accountability to ensure
successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, manage and implement housing, infrastructure and special development project.
- Ensure effective project planning design, execution, monitoring, and quality control.
- Manage project teams, consultants, contractor and other resource
- Ensure timely and cost effective completion of project within approval budget
- Prepare and contribute to project development planning and achieve expected results
Required Experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and project management
- Proven ability to plan, design, implement and monitor project
- Ability to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
- Strong analytical, problem solving and coordination skills
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or an equivalent qualification
- Minimum 5 years of post-qualifying experience in the construction field
- Experience in the plantation sector will be an added advantage
