About Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT)
Plantation Human Development Trust (PHDT), led by a Director General and governed by a board representing the government. Plantation companies and trade unions, operates from battaramulla with seven regional office. PHDT partners with ministries, trade unions, NGOs, health, child care, training, sports, housing and infrastructure.
PHDT is ISO 9001:2008 Certified and has received awards, including a gold award at the 2011 national business excellence awards and recognition from SAFA and ICASL.
Job Details
- Engineering Assistant (EA)
Key Responsibilities
- Manage medium- scale housing, rural water supply, and community infrastructure projects
- Mobilize and engage communities for project participation
- Develop and implement community- based project
- Handle tender procedures and contract administration
Required Experience
- Proven experience in civil engineering project, preferably in housing and community development
- Experience in community mobilization and project management
- Familiarity with tendering processes and contract management
Qualification
- NDT, NDES, or HNDE in Civil engineering with over 2 years’ experience or
- NCT (civil) / NCIT (civil) with over 7 years’ experience

- Age below 45 years
- Location: Galle/ Badulla
