Key Responsibilities & Operational Scope

* Daily Accounting Operations: Oversee and execute essential financial processing tasks, including General Ledger (GL) updates, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and multi-account bank reconciliations.

* Financial Statements & Reporting: Assist in the accurate compilation and end-of-month finalization of Management Accounts. Prepare comprehensive quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements, as well as customized ad-hoc management reports.

* Statutory Compliance & Tax Management: Monitor, compute, and ensure timely statutory remittances in full compliance with local regulatory standards, covering EPF, ETF, PAYE/APIT, VAT, NBT, and Income Tax returns.

* Audit Coordination: Act as the primary internal contact point to coordinate internal audit checks and handle external financial audits smoothly, ensuring seamless compliance across corporate procedures.

* Budgeting & Cash Flow Control: Conduct project-wise cash flow tracking, monitor budget execution, analyze variance, and provide actionable insight into financial cost structures to preserve project profitability.

* Payment Governance: Authorize and monitor routine supplier payments, subcontractor settlements, and administrative disbursements to preserve operating liquidity and maintain healthy commercial relationships.

Requirements and Qualifications

To excel in this corporate finance role, candidates must demonstrate strong analytical thinking, meticulous numerical precision, clear operational communication, and a solid foundation in contemporary accounting principles.

Academic & Professional Credentials:

* A recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, Commerce, or a closely related quantitative field from an accredited university.

* Professional accounting qualifications (fully or partly completed) from recognized governing bodies such as CA Sri Lanka (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka), CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants - UK), ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants - UK), or CMA (Certified Management Accountants - Sri Lanka).

Work Experience & Technical Competencies:

* Practical professional experience in finance or corporate accounting, ideally gained within property management, structural engineering, or the commercial construction sector.

* Hands-on proficiency using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, with direct working knowledge of SAP software being an added advantage.

* Exceptional knowledge of Sri Lankan tax laws, statutory deduction frameworks, accounting standards (SLFRS/LKAS), and corporate regulatory reporting requirements.

* Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, data manipulation, financial modeling, and structured database queries.

* Strong organizational skills with proven ability to multitask, solve numerical problems, meet strict reporting deadlines, and operate seamlessly within team environments.
