Key Responsibilities & Main Duties
* Oversee and direct complete financial reporting operations, ensuring precision and compliance with accounting standards.
* Lead annual budgeting processes, cash flow forecasting, and monthly financial performance evaluations.
* Ensure strict adherence to both Sri Lankan local financial laws and international accounting regulations.
* Handle direct and indirect taxation matters, including corporate tax planning, international tax compliance, and statutory filings.
* Manage complex revenue reconciliation, internal financial controls, and risk mitigation strategies.
* Conduct regular financial verification processes to eliminate operational redundancies and minimize fiscal risk.
* Serve as the official corporate liaison with external auditors, tax advisors, legal consultants, and state regulatory authorities.
* Deliver accurate, data-driven financial reports to senior executive stakeholders to guide strategic investments and growth plans.
* Monitor operational liquidity, optimize cash flow cycles, and maintain strict working capital management.
Requirements and qualifications
* Educational Background: Must hold an MBA or a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field from a recognized university.
* Professional Qualifications: Full professional membership in a prestigious accountancy body such as CA Sri Lanka (Chartered Accountants), ACCA (UK), CIMA (UK), or an internationally recognized equivalent.
* Work Experience: A minimum of 10+ years of continuous, verifiable experience in accounting and finance within reputable corporate organizations.
* Seniority Level: Must have at least 5 to 8 years of direct experience functioning in a senior finance leadership or managerial capacity.
* Technical Expertise: Advanced practical working knowledge of corporate taxation, transfer pricing, cross-border financial transactions, and international tax frameworks is highly advantageous.
* Systems & Tools Proficiency: High proficiency in enterprise resource planning (ERP) financial modules, advanced accounting software, and expert-level Microsoft Excel skills.
* Core Competencies: Outstanding analytical problem-solving skills, sharp attention to detail, sound commercial judgment, and top-tier organizational skills.
* Soft Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, proven team leadership capabilities, and efficient stakeholder management ability.
