You will serve as a vital bridge between IT teams, external vendors, global payment networks (such as Visa and MasterCard), and senior management.

Job Details

As a Senior Banking Officer specializing in Card Projects at Seylan Bank PLC, your day-to-day operational scope will involve project governance, stakeholder management, technical compliance reviews, system testing, and operational issue resolution.

Your primary duties, core responsibilities, and operational focus areas will include:

1. End-to-End Card Project & System Implementation Management:

* Manage, track, and ensure the timely, seamless implementation of card system and card scheme-related projects within agreed operational timelines.

* Coordinate closely with internal IT engineering teams, third-party software vendors, and international card schemes to follow up on project milestones, system enhancements, and technical issues.

* Prepare comprehensive progress reports and provide regular strategic updates to senior management and unit heads.

2. Testing, Live Cutover & Operational Integration:

* Lead and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Closed User Group (CUG) testing across new card platforms, feature releases, and payment gateway updates.

* Provide necessary formal sign-offs to support successful system implementations, new card product launches, and live cutover events.

* Support continuous improvement initiatives targeting card system processes, transactional speeds, system reliability, and overall customer banking experience.

3. Card Scheme Compliance & Regulatory Audits:

* Continuously monitor scheme-related non-compliances and ensure timely corrective action plans are deployed in full alignment with global card scheme rules and regulatory standards.

* Thoroughly review newly published card scheme updates, operational circulars, and technical mandate documentation.

* Report findings and actionable recommendations to respective unit heads to guarantee prompt operational implementation and risk mitigation.

Requirements and Qualifications
