Stepping into the role of Junior Executive – Brand & Communications puts you at the creative and strategic core of the bank’s public presence. In this position, you will work closely with the Brand, Communications & Digital Lead to drive the bank’s brand strategy, corporate communications, public relations (PR), reputation management, and evolving digital brand footprint. Job Details
As a Junior Executive in Brand & Communications, your daily operational routine will involve planning integrated marketing campaigns, coordinating media relations, monitoring digital and SMS outreach, and managing award submission processes. You will play an active role in maintaining brand consistency across all online and offline channels.
Your primary duties, core responsibilities, and key operational focus areas will include:
1. Campaign Management and Brand Execution:
* Support the development and execution of the bank’s overall brand and corporate communication initiatives, including planning and implementing integrated marketing campaigns.
* Coordinate campaign materials, production timelines, and creative activities with internal marketing teams, creative agency partners, external vendors, and PR/media partners.
* Ensure consistent application of official brand guidelines across all marketing touchpoints and promotional materials.
2. Public Relations, Media, and Reputation Management:
* Support PR and publicity efforts to enhance overall brand visibility, including securing key media placements across print, digital, and online platforms.
* Conduct background research and provide daily operational support for external communication activities, press releases, and media events.
* Coordinate with external media contacts, editors, digital channel managers, and PR agency representatives to maintain positive corporate public relations.
3. Digital Marketing Support, Analytics, and Award Coordination:
* Support SMS and digital marketing campaigns, including scheduling, performance tracking, budget monitoring, and analytical reporting.
* Identify relevant national and international industry awards that align with the bank's achievements.
* Support award submission processes by coordinating detailed documentation, gathering performance metrics, and maintaining strong working relationships with media and award organizing bodies.
Requirements and Qualifications

Academic and Professional Prerequisites:
* Professional Qualifications: Part or full professional qualification in Marketing (such as CIM - Chartered Institute of Marketing or SLIM - Sri Lanka Institute of Marketing) or Business Management from a recognized/acceptable institution.
* Academic Qualifications: OR a relevant Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or Media from a reputed university.
Work Experience and Technical Competencies:
* Industry Experience: Minimum of 1 to 2 years of practical experience working in the fields of Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations (PR), Media, or an equivalent corporate domain.
* Stakeholder Coordination: Proven ability to coordinate effectively with media outlets, creative agencies, PR partners, and key media stakeholders (e.g., editors, channel managers, digital media contacts).
Essential Soft Skills and Abilities:
* Language & Content Skills: Strong command of English and Sinhala (both spoken and written), accompanied by excellent copywriting and content development skills.
* Mindset & Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills, solid teamwork capabilities, and excellent interpersonal skills paired with a creative and innovative mindset.
* Campaign Execution: Strong planning and execution capabilities for marketing activities, promotional events, and brand campaigns.
* Adaptability: Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet strict project deadlines, and adapt quickly to changing priorities while maintaining an eagerness to learn.
